  Why try acupuncture?
Some health issues can prove to be more of a challenge than others. When mysterious symptoms lead to diagnostic dead ends, Chinese medicine can often relieve aches and pains by sending electromagnetic signals to the immune system to help the body aid it’s own recovery. Modern clinical studies and published reports provide a new realm of research that presents acupuncture and herbal therapies in a scientific light. These reports are available upon request.
What if you don’t like needles?
Acupuncture is not like getting a shot, which is what most everyone equates with needles. Much of the discomfort felt from a shot is due to the injection of a liquid substance into the body. Acupuncture needles are as fine as hair (less than 1/4 the thickness of a hypodermic needle). Comparing an acupuncture needle with a hypodermic needle is like comparing a thread to a rope.
Can prescription medications be taken with acupuncture?
Yes. Acupuncture treatments may be used along with other medical care with great advantage. To expedite healing, it has been used for pain control after medical or dental surgeries and procedures . It can also help further strengthen an individual after long-term illness or counteract the side effects of numerous medications. Herbal medicines are dispensed with and should be taken with caution. It is recommended that patients inform and consult with their physician regarding the use of herbal medications.
Can acupuncture be effective when other treatments have failed?
Yes! Every system of medicine has its own areas in which it has its greatest effectiveness. Acupuncture’s advantage is it’s diagnostic and treatment system that includes a deep understanding of our energetic nature and the impact of energetic imbalance on healing. Diagnosis includes attention to many symptoms that are not always viewed as relevant in Western medicine. Acupuncture’s approach is to treat the whole person, not just the symptoms.
  Is acupuncture safe?
Absolutely! One of the great advantages of acupuncture is the infrequent occurrence of serious side effects, including those from herbs. Needles are one-time disposable type and sterile like any other medical instrument used under meticulous conditions. Treatments can also be adjusted at any time to react to changes in an individuals condition.
